I look for a good storyline where the music is the voice for the video. Smooth transitions like fade and flashbacks, when appropriate, are good, but please do not over use them, You will earn extra attention from me if you can hold my focus... this means tell a great story and put the video together strong. I like emotion, drama, action, AU stories and angst.

Vidding likes: On-beat clips/effects when appropriate, vids with a clear narrative, clean cuts, clear POV; Vidding dislikes: Extremely long clips, unnecessary effects (transitions especially), fast cuts to slow music, slow cuts to fast music, songs with no connection to the video ETC?: I am anti-Hameron so if you submit a video of that pairing it better be DAMN good.

I appreciate good and clear storylines. Effects should be used carefully and must fit the video itself. Lyrical interpretation and a strong and good beat-use is always a plus. I hate too long scenes and songs that were overused otherwise I think I’m not a hard judge, just give your best and try to improve.

In viewing music videos, it's always important to tell a story and be able to depict it from what the song is telling. The song has to be the storyteller and if the creator of the video can retell it in a way that I know what it was supposed to be about and the effects are not overwhelming the product, I like it. I'm not that hard of a judge, in my humble opinion. lol
